Final Fantasy XV soundtrack album debuts in December

Square Enix's North America online store has slated the release of the Final Fantasy XV soundtrack for December 21 on compact disc and Blu-Ray. Written by Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura, excerpts of three piano arrangements are currently streaming on the Japanese language soundtrack website.

Square Enix has opened the official website for the soundtrack to Kingslaive Final Fantasy XV. The two compact disc album is due for release on September 7 in Japan. Music for the motion picture opening August 19 in North America is by John Graham, featuring a main theme by game composer Yoko Shimomura.

Wayô Records has announced the next installment in their series of orchestral game music events will be the first European concert dedicated to the music of Kingdom Hearts series composer Yoko Shimomura. Tickets for Melodiosa are currently on sale, taking place November 7 at the Salle Cortot venue in Paris.

Square Enix has announced their second Yoko Shimomura arrange album compilation, due for release on March 26. Following Drammatica, the 25th Anniversary commemorative compilation, entitled "Memória," will feature new recordings of the composer's themes from Kingdom Hearts, LIVE A LIVE and Legend of Mana.

Today at Sony's pre-E3 conference Tetsuya Nomura of Square Enix announced that action RPG Final Fantasy Versus XIII, previously planned for PlayStation 3, has been renamed Final Fantasy XV and will debut on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Yoko Shimomura will score both this title and Kingdom Hearts III.
